Club Rental

Use of club facilities will be handled on an individual basis. Scheduling will be done by the President and Secretary. Scheduling should be done 45 days in advance if possible. The days the Club House is rented will be put on club web site and calendar at club house.

Club House will be rented to club members only. The club member is responsible for those using the facilities.

At no time will the outside areas be rented out, without the Advisory Boards approval. The outside area should be kept open for our members to practice archery and enjoy the camping and rest areas.

To ensure that all events held at the White River Bowhunters, Inc. grounds align with the mission and purpose of the organization, and adhere to 2 (k) of the Amendment to Articles of Incorporation of the White River Bowhunters, Inc. dated November 8th, 1996, all reservations of the club property for the purpose of a public or political meeting/event, must be approved by the advisory board and Chairman of the Board of the White River Bowhunters, Inc.

The club member, group, or person requesting the reservation must provide a written statement of the purpose of the public or political meeting/event, and a statement of the mission and purpose of the group conducting the meeting/event.

At NO time may the name or logo of the White River Bowhunters, Inc. be used in any advertisement for a public or political meeting/event without the written permission of the White River Bowhunters, Inc.

The renter will be given a envelope with his/her name on it to be used for a donation. Any donation can be put in the Practice Fee box beside the door or mailed to White River Bowhunters, Inc., P.O. Box 432, Bedford, In., 47421.

Non Profit organizations involved with Scouting, Hunting or Fishing will be allowed to use the facilities free, with the Advisory Boards permission.

Anyone using the Club House will be required to perform necessary house keeping to insure cleanliness of building (includes bathrooms) and outside grounds. All trash containers will be emptied and new liners put in, and renters should take their trash with them. Kitchen will be cleaned and tables used will be washed off.  Water heater in Ladies restroom will be shut off after use. All outside faucets will be checked to insure no water is left on. When done, all lighting and heating will be set as instructed.

When facilities are rented every effort should be made to insure that the members are not deprived of practice facilities, especially if they are preparing for an immediate upcoming event.

Members who rent the club may reserve it for the same day or week end the following year, as long as they do so during the month of Jan. in the year they are going to use the facilities. No one will be allowed to sign up a year ahead.

Any one misusing club facilities or causing a loss of income to the club will be required to reimburse the club or suffer loss of membership.

MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CLUB MEMBER.

  • FISHING IS CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY. ALL FISH SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE POND. HOOKS SHOULD BE BARBLESS OR BARBS BENT DOWN.
  • DO NOT DUMP MINNOWS OR RELEASE ANY FISH FROM OTHER WATERS
    INTO THIS POND.
  • NO ICE FISHING.
  • NO SWIMMING OR WADING.
  • CHILDREN AND ANYONE WHO CAN’T SWIM SHOULD WEAR A FLOTATION
    DEVICE WHEN AROUND POND. EACH GROUP SHOULD BRING A FLOTATION
    DEVICE FOR EMERGENCIES.
  • THE BUDDY SYSTEM IS REQUIRED WHEN AROUND THE POND. NO ONE IS
    ALLOWED ALONE.
  • DO NOT LITTER. TAKE YOUR TRASH OUT WITH YOU.
  • USE PARKING LOT. NO VEHICLES ALLOWED AROUND POND OR ON DAM.

  • FIRES ARE ALLOWED ONLY IN FIRE PITS. ALL FIRES ARE TO BE
    EXTINGUISHED BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
  • NO BOATS OR WATERCRAFT
  • NO ONE ALLOWED IN THE PRIMITIVE CAMPING AND POND AREA DURING
    STORMS. HIGH ELEVATION INCREASES LIGHTING STRIKE POTENTIAL.

CAMPGROUND WITH ELECTRICAL HOOK UPS

USE OF CAMPGROUNDS IS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

CAMP SPOTS CAN NOT BE TIED UP BY LEAVING CAMPERS. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO REMOVE YOUR CAMPER FROM THE CAMP GROUND WHEN NOT IN USE.

FEES FOR CAMPING – DONATIONS FOR USE OF ELECTRICAL HOOK UP IS
EXPECTED. USE OF HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS ARE EXPENSIVE AND CAMPERS SHOULD MAKE A DONATION EQUAL TO WHAT IS BEING PAID BY OTHER CAMPGROUNDS IN THIS AREA. PUT DONATION IN ENVELOPE, WRITE YOUR NAME AND THE WORD CAMPING ON ENVELOPE AND PUT IN PRACTICE FEE BOX LOCATED INSIDE CLUB HOUSE, ON WALL BESIDE DOOR.

IF VOLUNTEER CONTRIBUTIONS ARE NOT MADE, A FEE WILL HAVE TO BE
ESTABLISHED.
